Wellington Hill Residents Association is a community centre based in the heart of LS14. Run entirely by volunteers from around the community, we aim to provide a space in which local residents of all ages can come together and enjoy a variety of fun and engaging activities. ​

Our bar is open every Tuesdays and Fridays for our WHRA members and their guests. We are happy to welcome any new friendly faces.

Knit and Natter
1ST TUESDAY AFTERNOON OF EVERY MONTH AT 1PM UNTIL 3PM

Our section usually demonstrates some current knitting technique or topic and we occasionally have a 'Knit-in' day when we bring our machines and knit a project. These knit-in days run from 10am until 4pm. New faces welcome for a knit and a chat.

Little Wellies

We host different activities for children ages 18 months to 3 years old (Adult supervision required). Each week is a different activity including music and movement, drama, messy play, baking, forest school and more.

We have 2 teams. One team plays in division 1 and the other plays in division 4. New players are welcome although some experience would be helpful.
We play our league matches with the two teams playing on opposite weeks between October and the following April. There is also a summer league between June and September

In Thursday club we host a range of speakers for talks which take us around the world for £4.00 a session. This also includes refreshments, raffles, quizzes, bingo and so much more. Old and new friends welcome.

This section is dedicated to those who own and are interested in steam engines. We meet occasionally to drive and maintain our engines with an annual showcase at the WHRA Christmas Fayre.

Running from February until October, our classes only cost £65 for the year. Children ages 3 to 18 welcome. We teach a variety of dance styles to our classes which culminates in our annual show. Showgroup prides itself of offering a fun and confidence-boosting hobby for young children.

We have 3 spaces available to hire.
This includes a large hall area with a raised stage, a bar area and the 'common room'. The bar area features folding doors into the hall to transform the building into one large space.
